You may remember that in my NHL review from a few years back, I quite enjoyed RPM Tech in its introduction to the franchise. Detailing in jerseys follows skating directions and an arena’s surroundings are captured crisply in the cold reflections of the ice.

Frostbite has given FIFA players more control over the ball with unique skills. For all intents and purposes, this should mean that this year’s installment will have crisper lighting, better reflection and draw dynamics and perhaps most importantly, dynamic action.įrostbite has arguably made FIFA and Madden more dynamic games by allowing for a greater level of photorealism as well as in terms of fluid physics. The biggest news is that NHL is finally using the Frostbite engine.
