If you’re a LaunchBar user, you just need to download the Default Folder X Files action from Manfred’s Github repo. An auto population feature would be more convenient, sadly there is none. I defined my todo folder, then test command t:add and alfred show me only the first project name of. Launch Alfred, type tags along with your tag name to show all the relevant files. By default, Alfred includes a keyword to search for files prefixed with a particular tag. After installed the first time you pull the launcher up there will be no apps contained within, this means every user will have to manually add the apps they would like in the launcher, which is time consuming. I’ve long been an avid (addicted) user of LaunchBar – if you’re a person that’s keyboard-based like I am, it’ll save you ridiculous amounts of time.
